I have been diligently completing a daily sketch for the last month and I would like to display my work and its progression from very basic to something I can hopefully and eventually be proud of. I had been painting watercolour directly onto my journal book each day but because the paper is not designed for watercolour it bends and distorts. From now on I will be using watercolour paper cut to identical size and then I will paste that into my journal.
In the meantime, I’ve collated this week’s efforts into a postcard. The photo’s show the distortion of the paper but all in all I’m happy with my progression and I am becoming freer with the use of water, mixing of colour and a bigger brush. This week’s theme was colourful Australian native birds.
