This is definitely my happy place, snuggled on the couch with my little boy sucking his thumb and scrunching his blue blanket while I read a story (with an Easter Egg – my books ‘The Tales from Brambleberry Farm’), and my husband beside us.
The idea was wonderful but this is one of my least favourite executions. I don’t like the mice face or eyes, they look more zombie-like than cute and again the colours from the water colour pencils are insipid and uninspiring. And I only just realised that the book is actually back to front.
